FAQ

THE MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT CANYONING

TICKET TO VAL BODENGO: WHERE DO I BUY IT?
To enter Val Bodengo it is necessary to buy a pass for each vehicle (car, motorbike, minibus ...), which costs 6 euros per day (or 9 euros for 2 days).
You can buy it in Gordona at Bar Caffè San Martino (near the church) or online at this site https://www.valbodengo.shop/

DO I NEED TO BE ABLE TO SWIM?
There are routes where swimming skills are required, while in some less technical descents such as Bodengo 1 or Val Perlana this is not necessary, but you must inform the Guide in advance.
Neoprene wetsuits float and -on demand- it is possible to have an extra vest, to provide some additional buoyancy.

ARE DIVES AND SLIDES MANDATORY?
No, no diving or tobogganing is mandatory, there is always the possibility of abseiling and / or descending from a side path.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
We will give you a 5mm wetsuit and possibly also an undersuit for the coldest, 5mm boots, specific shoes for canyoning, helmet and approved harness.
You only need to bring your swimsuit, towel and spare underwear.

GLASSES AND CONTACT LENSES?
It is possible to go canyoning with eyeglasses but it is better to secure them with a safety cord, it is also possible to store them during the dives in a hard case that will be stored in the upper part of the suit.
Contact lenses are the best solution, if the loss may be a problem for later progression you can leave spare lenses in the backpack of the Guide.

WHERE DO I LEAVE THE KEYS OF THE MACHINE AND / OR MY PERSONAL EFFECTS DURING THE ACTIVITY?
The Guide always has a waterproof bin with him in his backpack where he can leave the car keys.
If you don't have a car to leave your bags / backpacks you can leave them in the Guide's car.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO INTERRUPT THE PATH?
In the basic levels such as Val Perlana and Val Bodengo 1 during the route there are several exits that bring us back to the base in a short time so for any problem we can be quickly accompanied by the Guide to the path or the road. In the other routes the escape routes are less frequent, more demanding and not always possible.

CAN YOU CANYON IN THE RAIN?
The Guide always makes a careful weather evaluation based on the chosen itinerary, a light rain does not however compromise the safety of the descent.
We recommend that you do not be influenced too much by the long-term summer weather forecasts of some unreliable sites, we will take care to notify you in time if the activity will be canceled or postponed to optimal weather conditions.

PHYSICAL PROBLEMS
It is mandatory to inform the Guide in advance of any physical problems or particular pathologies in order to take the necessary precautions.

PHOTO AND VIDEO
It is possible to carry an action cam such as a GoPro, a waterproof camera or your phone as long as it is waterproof and fixed with a lanyard to be worn over the shoulder.
Our helmets have GoPro support.
We usually take photos during the canyoning descents and if you like then we will send them to you for free.
