Objective: To teach the basic educational and technical skills needed to move independently and safely roped on winter terrain and snow gullies.

Avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe
The safety chain
Basic knots
Anchors and protection
Belay stations
Rope management
Roped team techniques
Pitch climbing techniques
Techniques for moving together in a team
Rappelling
Snow anchors
Walking and climbing techniques: general principles, motor patterns, technical terrain movement, and classical crampon techniques
Tactics and strategy
Prerequisites: Aerobic fitness for approximately seven hours of mountain activity
Required equipment and accessories: Helmet, harness, two 3 m slings, one 1.3 m autoblock sling, two D-shaped carabiners, two HMS carabiners, complete belay device system (bucket + HMS carabiner + oval carabiner). A complete list of clothing, accessories, and equipment will follow.
The fee includes: Logistical organization, guidance and instruction by a certified Alpine Guide, use of shared safety equipment
The fee does not include: Transfers, meals, accommodation, any lifts, and anything not specified under “The fee includes.”
